Thanks to the use of pneumatic friction shafts from Vorwald, even the narrowest of reels are wound perfectly with constant web tension. Like the minimal maintenance effort, the short set-up times when changing reels are the result of the friction shafts' practical and economic design. As no relative movement takes place between the core and the friction ring, no dust is able to occur due to friction.
The Vorwald knife shafts for clamping circular knives or knife bushings are of an identically high quality. The high-precision knife shafts impress with maximum true running accuracy and are designed for ease of maintenance. Pneumatic knife shafts
Thanks to their expanding, continuous ledges, the pneumatic knife shafts can be used for both wide or very narrow circular knives or knife bushings in longitudinal web cutting.
Suitable for diverse web widths, the direct friction shafts are recommended for winding processes involving longitudinal web cutting of stretch-sensitive products. Reduced-weight variants are also possible.
